Commission Agreement

By commissioning a custom artwork from [Stephanie Baron/AAW], you agree to the following terms:

1. Scope of Work

The artist will create a custom piece based on the details discussed and approved prior to starting.

  • Artwork/Description: As agreed upon between client and artist

  • Medium & Materials: As discussed (e.g., acrylic on canvas, mixed media, etc.)

  • Size: As agreed upon prior to starting

  • Estimated Completion Date: Provided before work begins


2. Payment Terms

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin the commission.

  • The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion, before delivery or shipment.

  • Shipping and handling costs (if applicable) are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stated.


3. Revisions

  • The client is entitled to [2] rounds of minor revisions during the sketch/paint process.

  • Significant changes outside the original concept may incur additional costs.


4. Timeline & Delivery

  • The artist will provide an estimated completion date before work begins.

  • Delays due to materials, shipping, or unforeseen circumstances will be communicated promptly.


5. Copyright & Usage

  • The artist retains all copyrights and reproduction rights to the artwork.

  • The client may not reproduce the artwork without written permission.


6. Cancellation

  • If the client cancels after work has started, the deposit is non-refundable.

  • If the artist cancels, the deposit will be fully refunded.


7. Agreement

Payment of the deposit indicates that the client has read, understood, and agrees to these terms.


**** Custom paintings are created in the order they are received. If there is someone ahead of you, your piece will begin as soon as theirs is complete. I will always provide an estimated start date and contact you when I begin.
