What is she doing? I don’t know. Maybe, nothing at all.
But to her, nothing is everything.
I’ve always been fascinated by the ordinary lives of women. The things we do when no one is watching. The feeling of calm, the romance of... being alone. Our small, unremarkable moments of a private life.
I guess this series is simple. Women being women, without explanation.
Each original is created on handmade paper, using a combination of oil, acrylic, Japanese Kuretake paint, and charcoal. The layering and washes on the give each piece its own beautiful imperfections.
